The Procedure Breast augmentation Technique

A pre operative mammography is necessary to rule out any breast pathology.The procedure is carried out under general anaesthesia.Markings are done preoperatively in the sitting or standing position.The type and size of the Implant is also selected before the operation after discussing with the patient.
A 5 cm submamary incision is created either sub pectoral(Under the muscle) or sub mammary(under the breast tissue).a pocket is dissected and extreme care is taken for the hemostasis.Appropriate size implant is insertec and incision is closed in layers.

Implants

Silicone cohesive gel filled implants with texturised surface and high profile implants (US FDA Approved) implants are used.These implants are durable and give ahigher projection for a given volume as compared to normal profile implants.

Precautions: To avoid Exertion,Gym,Sports for 6weeks after the procedure. It will be necessary to support the breast wiith a sports bra after the procedure for a few weeks.
